Jess loves eating out whilst developing her knowledge of foods from around the world. She enjoys reading in her free time and travel.

With extensive experience in the field of SEN, Jess is not only an exceptional people manager but also an extremely competent practitioner in all areas of Early Years development. The well being of our Staff Team is essential and one which Jess embeds into her daily practice -this allows for positive interactions. Our Team are all part of the Farmhouse vision allowing inspiration, development and free flow of ideas to enhance the excellence of the setting.

Leanne Long Deputy Nursery Manager, Designated Safeguarding Lead

Level 3 Qualified - currently studying for Level 4

Leanne loves to fill her time surrounded by family and friends which keeps her very busy outside of school hours.

Leanne supports the children with Phonic sessions during the week which they thoroughly enjoy. She has a nurturing and approachable nature which allows the children to feel cared for and safe.

Donna Pratley Senior Nursery Practitioner, Designated Safeguarding Lead

Level 3 Qualified and Level 4 to be completed in 2024

Donna has a a passion for running, dance and being outside in nature.

Within Nursery Donna keeps the children very engaged in everything relating to the outside, including gardening, planting, bird and bug feeding in addition to bringing calm into the setting with her Yoga qualification. Donna is excellent at extending the pre- school children and ensuring their readiness for school.

Penny Meredith Experienced Nursery Practitioner

Penny is our longest standing member of the Team. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and being with her grandchildren.

The children love having focussed time with Mrs Meredith where she engages them in small group work or one to one sessions in order to enhance their individual progress. Taking turns and learning social skills all play an essential part in child development.

Serena Searle Nursery Practitioner

Level 2 Qualified

Serena has a strong draw towards artistic and creative pursuits with a passion for painting in particular. Creative cooking skills also find there way into Serena’s day.

Mindful small group activities as part of our well being programme are delivered by Serena in a calm and caring manner. Her creative and artistic flair lead to many imaginative interpretations from painting, sticking, cutting to junk modelling - its all about the process and all important, right brain thinking.

Sarah Young Nursery Practitioner

RGN Qualified Nurse

Sarah loves the outdoors and going on long walks with her Spaniel, Molly. Family and children fill much of her time and she loves baking.

When in Nursery the children benefit from Sarah’s knowledge sharing around health and well being, nutrition and the skills they learn around cooking whilst in Nursery. Measuring, turn taking, learning about ingredients and their origins, all play an essential learning role.

Vicky Stoker Apprentice

Vicky is new to our Team and enjoys volunteering in her spare time, babysitting and baking.

Vicky is on a steep learning curve currently and is showing herself as a nurturing member of the Team and the children gravitate towards her kindness. Modelling play ideas and reading in small groups have become strong areas of practice for Vicky. We are looking forward to supporting Vicky along her journey of Early Years education.

Abbey Walker Nursery Practitioner

Level 3 Qualified

Abbey enjoys travelling to new places and exploring different cultures. Baking seems to be a theme that runs through all of our Team and Abbey is no exception!

Energy is abound when Abbey is in Nursery and her infectious enthusiasm gains her much respect from the children. Music, dancing, singing and outdoor exercise are key elements of the Nursery day where Abbey is able to build the children’s’ self confidence and support their well being.
